- June 2010: coin trail and table top sale
- November 2010: annual general meeting
- February 2011: barn dance
- May 2011: first monthly mini-market
- September 2011: grant awarded by Bideford Bridge Trust
- November 2011: open day and AGM
- December 2011: The Buckland Brewer Community Shop Limited formed
- April 2012: conditional grant offer of £24,334 from Village SOS, a Big Lottery Fund scheme
- 31 March 2012: membership/community share launched, aiming to raise £6000 by 30 June 2012
